Application:
Ammophos is mainly used for basic fertilization, but it is also suitable for other methods of application. It is applied during the main tillage of the soil in autumn or spring using traditional and energy-saving technologies. Autumn application does not cause significant losses of nitrogen and phosphorus, since phosphorus is fixed in the soil, and ammonium nitrogen is retained by the soil absorption complex. Fertilizer rates are determined by the crop's need for phosphorus. With traditional cultivation, ammophos is mixed with the soil, and with no-till and strip-till technologies, nutrients gradually enter the root layer and are absorbed by plants.
